Japanese characters appears as strange blocks on your computer. How to see?
The normal answer would be to install East Asian Languages. that works, but you need the Windows XP (or whatever you use) to complete that.
A quicker way would be to just install the Japanese Language pack (I think).
I can't test what I just said because I already enabled Japanese characters on this computer.
